There was an excellent visit to EMMAA affiliate Almighty Fighting Championships in Liverpool recently, a major UK promotion, active throughout the year in the UK and bringing international competitors to support developing the UK talent. It was a well-run show with excellent matchups and fights on the day.

A big thank you to the promotion and Ray Thompson for looking after the EMMAA representatives and for the opportunity to see a wealth of talent. As always, fighter safety was paramount, and the event’s support and organisation were second-to-none.

In attendance for EMMAA were our board member and Performance Director Paul Reed, our Head Coach Paul Kelly and Coach Vaughan Lee. It was a great pleasure to see Ricky Shock of Sponsorite supporting Almighty, EMMAA and the athletes he’s involved with. Fantastic to see some of the England squad on the show, especially Teddy Stringer with an excellent first-round finish and England prospect Jack Dunleavy making his point with an emphatic stoppage!

This was a truly great show, and it was fantastic to see part of the EMMAA network developing amateur MMA in England for the future.
