EMMAA welcomes Conor Heeney to Performance Team

The English Mixed Martial Arts Association are very pleased to announce the addition of Conor Heeney to the performance team.

Conor is an accredited Strength and Conditioning coach who has worked across combat, university, football and Olympic/Paralympic development programmes for the past 6 years and has also completed a Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning. He is the current Head of Strength and Conditioning at Liverpool John Moores University.

Paul Reed, Head of the EMMAA Performance board said ‘’Myself and the EMMAA Team are extremely pleased to welcome Conor onto the performance team of EMMAA. Conor is a colleague of Dr Carl Evans, also a key figure on the performance board, at Liverpool John Moores University and holds the role of Head of Strength and Conditioning. 
His experience, knowledge, academic standing and passion for the development of good practice in Amateur MMA brings enormous value to what we are beginning to develop from an education and best practice stand point.”

Conor joins us with an absolute wealth of athlete development knowledge and experience. We would like to wish Conor a warm welcome, we look forward to the brilliant work he will do with us and the squad.
