Continuing professional development (CPD) is the intentional maintenance and development of the knowledge and skills needed to perform in a professional context.

The EMMAA Performance Advisory Board will now be developing courses approved by the CPD service in key areas to help support both coaches and athletes with their professional development.

Paul Reed – Head of Performance for EMMAA, stated ‘’it’s a huge step forward for us to gain our membership with the CPD Accreditation Service. With a team of experts now in place covering so many different areas of performance, the Advisory Board will start to develop courses for our affiliated gyms in the fundamental key performance areas such as nutrition, sports specific exercise, weight management and many more. It will be an ongoing process to add value to our affiliated gyms and will be driven by what our members are asking for in the areas that add the most value to the development of our Mixed Martial Arts’’.
